Erika Camacho on Why We Need Women in STEM

Board Member and Arizona State University Mathematics Professor, Erika Camacho explains the obstacles many Latinas face in science and why it’s important that they pursue degrees and positions of leadership in STEM.

“When I was in undergrad I realized that there were a lot of professors that didn’t look like me, especially in math,” said Camacho. “That was one of my motivations- being able to be a role model for other women.”
