Honoring Excellence

At SACNAS we honor the work of our community's role models, leaders, and emergent scientists. Honoring excellence, not to the exclusion of others, helps us celebrate the achievements of fellow SACNISTAs. Through our awards programs, SACNAS strives to provide examples of fine science and mentoring in the spirit of helping others develop to the best of their ability by providing inspiration and examples of excellence.

Distinguished Awards

Nominated by those who have been touched by their work and selected by a committee of their peers, SACNAS Distinguished Awards recognize the achievements and contributions of leaders within the minority scientific community. Nominations deadline: May 18, 2012

Chapter Awards

Each year, the SACNAS Chapter Committee honors chapters for their outstanding level of achievement in public service, mentoring, leadership, and/or community outreach.

Student Presentation Awards

Honoring the work of emergent scientists, the student presentation awards recognize outstanding achievments in undergraduate and graduate student research that has been presented at the SACNAS National Conference.
