Biography
Dr. Greg Villareal earned his Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America, a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a PhD from the University of California Los Angeles where he utilized electrophysiology/imaging techniques to understand fundamental mechanisms of learning and memory. At Galenea Corporation he identified novel technology and contributed to developing high-throughput compound screening techniques towards developing therapeutics for patients suffering from neurodegenerative disorders. Currently, he is a bioentrepreneur consulting with AL Phahelix Biometrics, Inc. on their patent pending personalized medicine and biofuel optimization technology. Dr. Villareal advises for SACNAS on industry relations, chapters, foundations and philanthropic outreach, and is a Life Member and Friend of the Society.
