Chapter & Regional Meeting Resources
Managing a Student Chapter
- Chapter Annual Reports - Requirement for chapters to stay in good standing & to be eligible for chapter recognitions
- Start-up Funds - All newly chartered chapters receive a small amount of start-up funds from SACNAS. New chapters are encouraged to use these funds for first-year recruitment meetings and outreach.
- Fundraising Matching Funds - SACNAS offers matching funds for activities related to chapter fundraising efforts. The SACNAS Chapter Committee reviews and approves each matching fund grant proposal. Proposals for the SACNAS chapter fundraising grant are required to comply with the SACNAS chapter fundraising guidelines.
- SACNAS Branding - Chapters are encouraged to contact the National Office if you have any questions about chapter logos, SACNAS logos, and SACNAS branding guidelines. A copy of the SACNAS branding guidelines can be emailed to you via request to Sara Clarenbach, Director of Communications.
- SACNAS Outreach Materials - Each new chapter receives a welcome package of materials such as brochures, SACNAS News, Conference Save the Dates, DVDs, stickers and a Chapter banner. SACNAS strongly encourages existing chapters to create custom flyers to distribute on their campus that advertises chapter meetings, events, fundraisers, and any project specific to that chapter. Requests for additional materials from SACNAS are reviewed on a chapter by chapter basis.

Regional Meeting Planning
SACNAS supports two Regional Meetings each spring hosted by SACNAS chapters or partner institutions. Regional Meetings provide an opportunity for chapters, general members, area high schools, and professionals to receive information on SACNAS programs, activities, and upcoming events, while providing opportunity for chapters in the region to communicate, network, and share ideas, and allow students to present their research.
