Poster Presentation Practice & Feedback - An Phan
by lin on Monday, Jan 3, 2011
Cellular/molecular biology student, An Phan, demonstrates research poster presentation followed by mentor feedback.
The video was produced to highlight how to improve specific presentation skills, especially those that can be particularly challenging. Rather than serve as an example of a "perfect" scientific research presentation, it is intended to be used as a professional development/training tool for SACNAS students.
As you watch, consider:
- feedback you would provide to help the presention be more polished & impactful
- aspects of the presentation that are the strongest: e.g., content (purpose, process, outcomes, implications), communication (logical flow, clarity, posture, understandable to general audience), and visual design (supports the presentation, readable, attractive)
- comments that you anticipate the mentors to offer
- what you can learn from this presentation to improve your own skills
