Volunteerism is vital to the success of SACNAS and our programs. SACNAS volunteers make a difference, for example, in the lives of the SACNISTAs they mentor and the initiatives they help advise.
Volunteer Opportunities
You can get involved with SACNAS as a volunteer in a wide range of ways:
- Events: session chairs/speakers, Conversations with Scientists mentors
- Leadership: working committees, board of directors
- Resources: SACNAS News authors, online resources developers, Biography Project participants
- Student research presentation program: abstract mentor-reviewers, presentation mentor-judges

Be a part of the SACNAS community by authoring a SACNAS News article, sitting on a committee, or joining the SACNAS board. Enjoy public speaking? Consider chairing or speaking in a conference session. Want to offer your support, guidance, and feedback? Be a mentor-judge for student presentations in your field.
