Examples of How Your Sponsorship Impacts SACNAS Participants
* Session Sponsorship: By sponsoring a scientific or professional development session, you facilitate the active encouragement and development of the next generation of minority students. Through participation in sessions, students & postdocs learn about the science, skills, and opportunities that lead to a successful career. Sponsorship supports session materials, travel & lodging for presenters, room rental, equipment, etc.
** Conference Travel Scholarships: Supports travel & lodging for the SACNAS National Conference. Your sponsorship enables students & postdocs, who would otherwise be unable to participate, to take part in the invaluable conference professional development sessions, networking opportunities, exhibit program, mentoring, and scientific presentations.
*** Research Presentation Awards: Approximately 1,500 undergrad & grad students attend the conference annually. Of these, over 800 present their scientific research to mentor-judges and fellow conference participants. Each year, nearly 100 students are recognized for the quality of their research & presentation skills. Award sponsors make these honors possible. In addition, awards sponsors are encouraged to provide travel scholarships for student awardees to attend an annual meeting of the sponsoring organization.
