Assistant Professor of Plant Pathology

The Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track faculty position (research and teaching in the Agricultural Experiment Station), emphasizing the invasion and impacts of microbial (such as bacteria, fungi, viruses) pathogen or symbiont species into agricultural or wildland ecosystems.  Applicants studying microbes that regulate invasive plants will also be considered. Approaches could include genetics, genomics, population ecology/evolution, biochemical, bioinformatics, ecoinformatics and/or modeling.
