Associate Professor or Professor of Anesthesia

Applications are invited from individuals who have completed clinical training in anesthesia, and who have additional experience appropriate for an academic career for positions as Associate Professor or Professor in the Medical Center Line, based at Stanford University Medical Center. This position would be the Chief of the Regional Anesthesia Group and would be responsible for creating a vision and strategic plan for the group, for recruitment of faculty to the group, for oversight of the research activities of the group, and for faculty development of both the Medical Center Line and the Clinical Educator Line faculty. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Medical Center Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service—appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
