Professional Chapter Mission
SACNAS chapter members are dedicated to giving back through mentorship, peer networks, professional development, and by engaging in science research and leadership of the highest caliber. The organization, its members, and chapters are committed to encouraging minority students and scientists to advance to their utmost capability.
SACNAS chapters are an extension of the National Organization, providing year round support to our members. Chapters can organize campus, regional and community activities to promote the scientific and personal development of its members.
Start a Professional Chapter
SACNAS welcomes professionals who have a PhD in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); having a bachelor or Master’s degree and currently or previously working as a professional scientist or in a science related field. A SACNAS professional chapter can promote the mission of SACNAS at the local and national level to offer educational and professional development resources and opportunities to professionals.
Find and Join a Chapter
Interested in finding a local professional SACNAS chapter? SACNAS Chapters are all part of a national network of SACNAS members working year-round to support the SACNAS mission at their institution. We encourage chapters to collaborate on ideas, successful practices, and fundraising. Contact the president for information on the group or connect with chapter members through their website, email and/or Facebook page.
