Community College Day

Community College Day, hosted as part of the 2026 SACNAS Annual Conference, offers community college students an exciting opportunity to explore STEM degrees, careers, and professional development resources. Attendees will gain valuable insights into pathways for success in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Registration for the conference is required to attend.

Participants will explore the possibilities of an education and career in STEM through:

Motivational Talks and Engaging Workshops

Hear directly from peers and role models while learning valuable skills - how to apply them in your daily life and how to leverage them toward your career goals

Interactive Activities and Resources

Get hands-on scientific exposure and learn about opportunities to take the next step in your STEM career

Networking Lunch and Community Dinner

Connect with fellow community college students and professionals from all over the country while building community with one another!

Eligibility

Participants should be:

  • A current community college student

  • Interested in a STEM career

  • Able to register for the 2026 Annual Conference

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Able to attend the entire event

Please note: Participation in this event may require additional lodging and/or travel expenses, which is not covered by the 2026 SACNAS Annual Conference registration/SACNAS.
