SACNAS Involvement: National Diversity in STEM Conference - Research Presenter, Travel Scholar
"SACNAS completely transformed my education and life by providing a warm, inclusive community where I could fully embrace my passion for research and discover the welcoming nature of the scientific world. By connecting with a diverse group of peers who share my enthusiasm for STEM, I found collaborative opportunities and fresh perspectives I couldn't have found elsewhere. SACNAS strengthened my belief that science should be open to everyone and motivated me to pursue a joint Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Ph.D. degree. Thanks to a travel scholarship, I was able to attend SACNAS and experience invaluable growth, learning, and networking that have significantly shaped my academic and professional journey. So I'm honored and proud to be a SACNISTA"
What will you do next? Im Curently accepted to a Doctorate of Physical Therapy with a joint Ph.D. in Rehabilitative Sciences at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
What advice do you have for your peers/fellow SACNISTAs who are graduating this year or in the future? The future is bright, and it’s ours to shape. Let's carry the passion, curiosity, and determination we've gained through SACNAS into our next chapter. Lean on our community and continue seeking new perspectives. Together, we can create a more inclusive and innovative future in STEM.
