“To be able to solve problems in the 21st century, we need diverse perspectives, especially in science…” said Chapter Member Ruben Cano about the importance of 2017 SACNAS – The National Diversity in STEM Conference.
The annual conference gives underrepresented scientists a chance to meet mentors, network with employers, present their research, and hear from renowned multidisciplinary researchers and STEM leaders.
“Our communities have been a part of the United States since the United States started,” said SACNAS President Dr. Lino Gonzalez. “If you don’t have that voice as a part of the whole discussion, I think we’re missing a lot.”
